I'm pretty sure my readers already heard about this....

InkBlazers is shutting down February 1st 2015.

I was so shocked and dumbfounded when I signed in on IB yesterday that I actually thought it was a prank. I tried to convince myself that it was a bad joke... but it wasn't. And it was really frustrating to face the truth.
At first I was angry but once I calmed down I realized how happy I was for my journey on IB. If it hadn't been for IB I wouldn't have got this far. My journey there has been like an art class in school, I've learned, I've tested my limits and developed. Thanks to IB and other artists I've learned a lot of important things about how to comic which I didn't from the start, I have even learned how things work out in the comic industry.
That being said, I'm forever grateful for my time there.

But what now? Where are my comics going to live? The majority of authors and artists on IB have immigrated to Tapastic.com, so that's where I am now as well as my comics. The comics will still update on InkBlazers till Feb 1th though.
I think it's a good substitute. It looks good although it's vertical, and it's quite similar to IB once you get used to the layout. It also appears that you don't have to create an account there to read, and that's good I guess.
Here are the new homes of Pomegranate and Abbott:

There are two things I struggle with though. First off; I've lost a lot of money that were essential. On Tapastic you have to have at least 600 subscribers to get a payment. If some of my readers decides to move Tapastic I'm in good hands but I'm not sure if everyone is that jolly to move to another site.
My second struggle is: these two years with IB has been highly instructive and made me into a better artist... and it has contributed this urge to start with my upcoming webcomic B4 I first didn't want to start with (because I wanted to become a better artist, therefore I created Pomegranate and Abbott to gain experiences). But that is equally as starting from scratch again.
And I have to be honest and say, this whole shutdown thing made me lose a lot of motivation to continue with my current comics. During these two years I've also learned more about myself: I like to colour so that's what I'm aiming for in my future comics. I rather use motion effects than drawing stripes for movements. And I've always loved Sci Fi since little, it's my favourite genre after all - all that stuff I want to do in B4.

So yeah now I'm standing here, wondering what to do. Any advices? I don't want to let down anyone.

ARTIST'S COMMENT

Tried out a more simple colouring style this time, something more anime like.
I'll make similar pictures like this of the other characters as well.

ARTIST'S COMMENT

Dominic: When did you unlearn to tie a tie exactly?
Mercedes: 3 minutes ago, just in time when you arrived.
Dominic: Stupid...

I love drawing Mercedes in a suit, he's so adorable in it. Such a cute bocchan -3-
